New Zealand Pt. 9 - Franz Josef Glacier

The day of a glacier is numbered, especially in the current climate (yes, I'm judging you who throw garbage in the wrong bin. :p ).
Here is another one, the Franz Josef glacier. Unlike it compatriot in Mt. Cook, the glacier in Franz Josef melt into a river instead of a lake. To get close to the glacier, we have to walk on the riverbed, where the glacier used to be. It is a sad fate for the glacier, and it patiently wait until the next ice age to come back with a vengeance.
